Diese jungen Heringsmöwen jagten sich am Strand, augenscheinlich ging es um einen Büschel Blasentang. Ich wunderte mich sehr, warum sie es beide so auf ihn abgesehen hatten. Als Nahrung hielt ich es für gänzlich unnütz, wegen seines geringen Nährwerts. Als die zweite Möwe aufhörte, die erste zu verfolgen, ließ die erste den Tang los. Der Reiz daran war wohl verloren gegangen. Vielleicht haben sie ihre Jagdtricks trainieren wollen oder sie  haben einfach nur gespielt.

This young herring gulls were hunting each other for some bladder fucus one found at the beach. I startet wondering why they want to get those algae. As foodstuff I think it's nearly useless because of it's little nutrient content. Once the hind gull stopped following the front, the first gull dropped the algae. Maybe they are training their hinting skills, maybe it's just for their pleasure.
